Fresh Salon has just purchased a fantastic new hair steamer system, comprising of two professional hair steamers and couch for clients to relax on.

The steamers offer the very latest technology. People with afro hair types find that their hair can become   extremely dry, as the scalp's natural oils are not able to move down the hair shaft easily due to the curls. Therefore dry and brittle ends are very common. A treatment and 60 minute session under the steamer, softens and moisturizes your hair, making it much healthier and less prone to breakage. It also increases blood flow to your scalp.

To celebrate the new steamers, Fresh is offering a treatment and steamer session for just £25 up until the end of August..... enjoy!

Well, today we had a fantastic day, not only did we start on the translation of our website into Polish, for all of our clients who speak Polish as a first language, but we also had a visitor......... Reporter Rebecca Wood from BBC Radio Stoke!

Rebecca was interested in the Salon, its origins, its service and our recent move to employ a polish speaking stylist. She interviewed all members of staff, Anna spoke in Polish and some great background noise recordings were made.

Keep listening to BBC Radio Stoke, as it is due to be broadcast this week. If I receive details of when it will broadcast, I will post details on this blog prior to the interview going live!

I am hopeful that this feature on the radio will attract even more polish clients to Fresh Salon!

Had a fantastic day in the Salon, the environment was buzzing and it was great to see our regular clients (and new ones!). Just a few pics of the styles we have done today......

The above client had full head weave-on, hair extensions of synthetic black curly hair, she looked amazing! She came into the salon with quite short, dark blonde hair.

Anna is a fluent Polish speaker and a very good stylist, having trained in Poland's leading Hair Academy. She is available in the Salon from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 6pm. I just wanted to mention a charity that is very dear to our hearts, Forever Angels (www.foreverangels.org). A dedicated and truely inspiring young couple, local to the area, moved to Tanzania and created the most beautiful and caring orphanage for abandoned and orphaned babies and infants.
